God gave me Tinubu’s win at Oyetola as a reward

Adegboyega Oyetola, the minister of marine and blue economy, has claimed that the Osun State branch of the All Progressives Congress is expelling unwelcome party members.

In Osun, the APC recently suspended Moshood Adeoti, a former secretary to the state government, along with 25 other members for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities, and expelled Rasaq Salinsile and 83 other members of the Omoluabi Caucus led by a former governor, Rauf Aregbesola.

In his remarks at a small reception held in his honor by the party’s leadership in Osun on Thursday, Oyetola explained why he supported the expulsion and suspension of the errant APC members and challenged the devoted ones to work harder and strengthen the party.

“We are grateful for everything God has done for us. We praise God that the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal confirmed our victory yesterday (Wednesday). It supported Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our president, in his win.

“Truly, we were battling for a second term, but God knew it wasn’t time yet; He gave us a president, and today He gave us a minister. That our party is strong and unified makes me glad. By God’s grace, we are successfully separating the wheat from the chaff, and our party will be organized.

“The APC is our party, and each of us owns a piece of it. Nobody should consider destroying the party if it is truly our shared inheritance. There is space for rapprochement. We support sincere reconciliation and nothing less,” he stated.

We must all work to strengthen the party rather than toss it aside. We must make an effort to ensure that anyone seeking reconciliation is sincere in their desire and has expressed regret for prior wrongdoing.
