The Taraba Government urged investors to capitalize on the state’s tourist potential and make investments in the industry on Friday.
Joseph Nagombe, the state’s commissioner for heritage and ecotourism, made the request while the 16th International Arts and Crafts Expo was taking place in Abuja.
“Marketing Nigerian Crafts to the World” is the topic of the expo.
The commissioner claimed Taraba is blessed with a variety of natural tourist attractions and urged both domestic and foreign visitors to travel to the state renowned as “Nature’s gift to the world.”
According to Nagombe, the state administration will not think twice about creating the conditions necessary for investments to prosper there.
He said that the region is rich in historical and tourist attractions, including the Mambilla Plateau, the tallest mountain in Nigeria and all of West Africa, the Gashaka Gumti National Park, the Barup Waterfall, and the Marmara Crocodile Pond.
He claims that the Nwonyo Fishing Festival, held by the state’s Ibi population, is a famous occasion to attract tourists.
The largest lake in West Africa, which stretches 15 kilometers to the Benue River, is where he claimed the community’s members congregate in large numbers to go fishing.
