Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, nominated by President Bola Tinubu and awaiting Senate confirmation, will serve as the country’s Minister of Youth.
Mr. Ayodele Olawande was nominated by Tinubu for the position of Minister of State for Youth, and his confirmation by the Senate is pending.
The statement was released on Sunday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
From what we can gather from the release, “Ibrahim, who is a young medical doctor, recently served as President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF).
In addition, she was the governor of Kwara state’s “Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals”
A community development expert and a young leader in the ruling All Progressives’ Congress (APC),” the statement continued.
Between the years of 2019 and 2023, he worked as the President’s Special Adviser on Innovation.
In addition, the statement said the President had instructed the nominees to “exemplify the dynamism, innovative zeal, and unyielding productivity synonymous with the young people of Nigeria” in their work.
