During the handing out of the trained personnel conducted in Minna, Niger State, Ahmed Mohammed Dandare, state Commandant, NSCDC, also introduced the Female Armed Squad in the command as part of the determination of the command to bring instability to the bare minimum.
Dandare stated that the Female Armed Squad will support its male counterpart in the state’s efforts to combat kidnappings of schoolchildren and other criminal activity.
According to him, the female squad was also taught on various methods for carrying out rescue operations, weapon handling, VIP protection, intelligence collection, and advice for dealing with sexual gender-based abuse in the hopes that it would significantly lessen security issues in the state.
