Just prior to the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Pique made his retirement from football official.
The 35-year-old played his final game at Camp Nou on November 5, 2022.
In the 84th minute of Barca’s 2-0 triumph over Almera, he was taken off to a standing ovation.
It is said that he is already tired of being a spectator and would like to play for the Spanish club that he owns.
Under Spanish law, there would be issues with pay if you played for a second-division team.
