On Friday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
In a tweet on his social media accounts, the governor claimed that Buhari gave him a warm welcome this afternoon.
He said that their conversation was centered on Ogun State’s general socioeconomic development, with a focus on the state’s road infrastructure and how the federal government should step up its participation and support in the reconstruction and restoration of highways that fall within its domain.
According to Abiodun, the visit was also intended to update President Buhari on the Agro-Cargo Airport project that his administration is currently building.
I visited the State House in Abuja this afternoon, where President Muhammadu Buhari welcomed me with open arms.
“The topic of our conversation was the overall socioeconomic development of Ogun State, with an emphasis on the state’s road network and how the Federal Government may step up its intervention and support in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads that fall under its purview.
It served as a way to update the President on recent developments, including those relating to the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport that our administration is building.
