According to ESPN, Arsenal has activated options to add a year to the contracts of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.

The Premier League team is now negotiating long-term contracts with the players, though.

Saka and Saliba are both entering the last half of their current contracts. However, the Arsenal have turned on extensions to keep the pair with the team beyond 2024.

The league’s top teams are sure they can maintain their position beyond the following season.

Saka is reportedly about to receive a significant wage increase, up to almost £200,000 per week.

Saliba was acquired from Saint Etienne for £27 million in 2019, however after a season-long loan back to the Ligue 1 club, he also had brief stays at Nice and Marseille.

The 21-year-meteoric old’s rise has raised hopes for a sizable pay raise.
