Musa Saidu, coordinator of the Ecology and Marine Rights Organization, has issued a warning against interfering with the investigation of Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Saidu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that it was pointless to criticize the DSS for allegedly hiding N70 trillion in plundered money in banks.
The activist stated that the agency was operating “as commanded by the President without partiality” and that it was performing its job.
Saidu emphasized that Emefiele is still a public servant who is in charge of public property and who is subject to investigation.
According to him, the CBN governor is accused of misusing revenue sources, agricultural loans, and fraudulent forex trading techniques.
Any patriotic Nigerian should be proud of the DSS probe of the CBN governor, he added.
“The sponsored campaign” was denounced by Saidu, who noted that it “is a sabotage and subversive to state affairs.”
He declared his support for the law and ordered security forces to “arrest anybody is found wanting in governance.”
