Sa’adatu Bello Kirfi, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Cooperatives and SMEs Development, has resigned from his position.

After her father Muhammadu Bello Kirfi was deposed as the Wazirin Bauchi, she announced her resignation 24 hours later.

Alhaji Kirfi was deposed by the Bauchi Emirate Council for reportedly showing Governor Bala Mohammed disrespect.

Hajiya Kirfi informed the governor of her resignation in a letter dated January 4 that was sent by the Secretary to the State Government.

The former commissioner said that she immediately resigned from the Bauchi State Executive Council.

She said, “I would want to express my gratitude to His Excellency the Executive Governor for allowing me to serve my state under your administration.

Harsanu Yunusa Guyaba, Mohammed’s Senior Special Assistant on Local Government Affairs, has also resigned from his position.

The Emirate reported receiving a note from the Ministry of Local Government Affairs with reference number: MLG/LG/S/72/T in a letter to the former Wazirin on January 3.

The communication demanded his “removal with immediate effect” due to his “disloyalty and disrespect to the governor and the administration.”

According to the letter written by Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, “You are hereby removed from office as Wazirin Bauchi and as a Council Member of Bauchi Emirate.”

Under President Shehu Shagari, Kirfi served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and under President Olusegun Obasanjo, he served as Minister of Special Duties.
