Eedris Abdulkareem, a veteran Nigerian rapper, has praised his wife for supporting him during his kidney failure battle.

The ‘Jaga Jaga’ singer admitted he was startled when his wife offered to be his kidney donor, despite knowing she could do anything for him.

“I’d always known she could do anything for me, and she knows I can do anything for her. That has always been the case with us.”

DAILY POST recalls that Nigerian rapper MI Abaga revealed Eedris’ battle with kidney disease a few months ago.

However, the entertainer revealed that at one of his appointments, he was advised that the kidney could only be obtained from a family member.

Speaking on the TVC entertainment programme, ESplash, the rapper who has dedicated a song, ‘Thank you’ to his wife said; “There are a lot of ways I have been showing my jewel of inestimable value my unalloyed appreciation for what she has done for me and I will never get tired of doing that. She is the most amazing person in the planet.

“She is my Siamese twin, and our relationship is unshakable.

Making a particular song for her is one of the ways I’m thanking her, albeit this is not the first song I’ve devoted to her “royal perfection.”

The outspoken performer went on to say that he would rather pray for his soulmate than pursue more money or fame, adding that he did not want to be a gold digger.

“As a young man working in the industry, I had the choice of marrying for more money and high social contacts. But instead of being a gold digger and clout chaser, I toiled and prayed for my true mate.”

He encouraged young people to marry for love because it is the most important thing. “I knew the moment I saw her that I had discovered my missing rib. My advice to young people out there is that they should marry for love; not any other thing,” he added.
