Charles Oputa, better known by his stage as Charly Boy, has responded to calls for his arrest following a controversial comment he made.
KURYALOADED remembers that on Saturday, the controversial artist had tweeted that young people in Nigeria should burn public property in solidarity with French demonstrators after police shot and killed a 17-year-old boy near Paris on Tuesday.
Charly Boy posted a video of French rioters destroying property and said that this is what he anticipated to see from young people in Nigeria in order to “reject the system that let them down.”
Some Nigerians flocked to the comments section in response to his tweet to demand that he be arrested for inciting civil disorder.
On Sunday, though, Charly Boy responded via his Twitter account, mocking those who were demanding his arrest.
While others were calling for his arrest, he joked, “Na only me just dey Laff as guys just dey Kpara on top my Post.”
However, DSS has the authority to silence critics of criminals by arresting them. What a useless Nigerian you are.
“Because I urged the youth of Nigeria to stop being passive and start taking action, some Mumu people have risen to the top of my job from the ranks of the gangsters.
