Charly Boy: My Expectations for Young Nigerians

Posted by

Charles Oputa, better known by his stage as Charly Boy, has issued a call to action to the youth of Nigeria to “reject the system that let them down.”

He tweeted the message while showing footage of rioters setting fire to buildings in France.

This is not Syria, Iraq, or Afghanistan, Charlyboy claims. In France, only 9 percent of the population is responsible for the destruction of entire cities.

I’m holding my breath for the extraordinary young people of Nigeria to turn their backs on a system that failed them.

The African Karma? Everything is in the hands of fate.

After a 17-year-old boy was shot by police on Tuesday in Paris, the country was rocked by a wave of protests.

Protest bans and travel advisories were issued as a result of the unrest.

Riot police clashed fiercely with demonstrators, as images surfaced of burned cars and people climbing onto buildings with broken windows.

President Emmanuel Macron of France called a cabinet meeting after the protests began in an effort to unite the country in his second term.
