The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and President Muhammadu Buhari have been urged to ensure credible, free, and fair elections in the general elections of 2023, according to Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission.

Rev. Pam urged Nigerians to welcome the new year with enthusiasm and said 2023 would be a memorable year for the nation.

The declaration was made in a press release that was given to media in Abuja and was signed by the Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka.

The NCPC leader declared that Nigeria would experience divine grace and uplift in this year.

He declared, “If we look up to God and trust in him in the new year, he will undoubtedly give us heavenly directives to follow as a people and as a nation.”

Rev Pam challenged Nigerians to stand up and engage in constructive activities in order to actualize the full measure of God’s benefits while asking them to be hopeful and believe in the Lord for his promises on the nation, which in his opinion must undoubtedly come to pass.

The cleric also urged Nigerians to take part in campaigning and make sure they cast their ballots in the upcoming general election.

The cleric encouraged the Imams and religious leaders to teach peace to their followers while also urging their members to vote in the next general elections.
