After a 4-0 loss, Guardiola gives Boehly advice on whether to fire Potter

Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has pleaded with Chelsea to give Graham Potter more time to develop his squad.

Guardiola made these remarks following Sunday’s 4-0 FA Cup victory over the Blues.

City has defeated Potter’s team twice in the past four days.

Chelsea is now in 10th place in the Premier League after winning just one of their past seven games overall.

In addition, they lost in the FA and League Cup, prompting demands for Potter’s dismissal.

However, Guardiola retorted, “I’d advise Todd Boehly to give Graham Potter some time. Don’t rush him. He’s right; all managers need time. I am aware that with major clubs, performance is crucial, but allow him some time.

“What he accomplished at Brighton was exceptional, but all managers require time, in my opinion.

“I didn’t need two seasons in Barcelona since I had [Lionel] Messi there,” said the player.
