Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the creator of the African Movie Academy Awards and a filmmaker, has been declared deceased.

When Peace Maria Ogechi Anyiam-Osigwe passed away on Tuesday, her family issued a formal statement in which they acknowledged this.

The actress’s family praised her for being a trailblazer, visionary leader, and exceptional personality in the film and television industries, emphasizing that she made a lasting mark on history.

It guaranteed that it would make sure that her legacies, such as the Africa Movie Academy Awards, the Africa Film Academy, and other organizations working with various communities and religious faiths, would be carried on.

The family meanwhile pleaded for privacy, saying that details of her rites of passage would be revealed to the public in due course.
