Terem Moffi, a Super Eagles attacker, will try to extend his outstanding Ligue 1 scoring streak on Thursday night when Lorient plays home to Montpellier at the Stade du Moutsoir (today).

With 10 goals from 14 games, Moffi is now third on the league’s top scorers list.

Kylian Mbappe, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, brought his total to 13 goals on Wednesday night when he scored from the penalty spot in his team’s 2-1 victory over Strasbourg at home.

Neymar, a PSG colleague of Mbappe, is in second place with 11 goals.

Moffi has been crucial to Lorient’s good performance this year.

Les Merlus are off to their best-ever start in the French premier division, currently holding the fifth-place spot with 28 points.

Montpellier, their adversary, hasn’t experienced a league victory since September.
