The governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has urged the people of that state and all Nigerians to continue to work together for the country’s path of progress and development.
The governor made this announcement during Minna’s Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium’s 63rd Independence Day celebration.
The governor, who was represented at the occasion by his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, urged Nigerians to always uphold the spirit of unity as a crucial instrument for peace and prosperity.
According to him, Nigerians can only prosper and fulfill the ambitions of the country as a whole by leading peaceful lives.
Bago urged Nigerians to contribute their fair share to nation-building and stated that his administration was mindful of the plight of its people and was working nonstop to make things better.
He continued, “We are appealing to Nigerlites not to lose hope in the present Government but should be resilient and remain prayerful for the success of the present administration.”
Additionally, the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Muhammad, and the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, acknowledged in their respective speeches that despite the difficulties the country faces, it has achieved some remarkable triumphs over time.
Additionally, they urged residents of the state to hold onto their optimism because the administration is making great efforts to deliver democracy’s benefits.
