President Muhammadu Buhari sent condolences to the Olu of Warri, the other chiefs in the kingdom, and the family and friends of Chief S.S. Rone, Ogienoyibo, the Obazuaye of Warri and its longest-serving chief, on his passing.
In a statement released by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, to Buhari, he expressed gratitude for God’s mercy on the deceased, claiming that Rone served four monarchs as a high-ranking chief and contributed to the development of Warri and its surrounding areas as well as peace, amity, and prosperity.
Chief Rone’s life of service to the younger generation was praised by President Buhari, who also urged his family and children to keep his good deeds alive and his memory eternal.
According to Buhari, Chief Rone left behind a deserving legacy that would continue to be motivating when he passed away on Monday at the age of 86.
The President expressed his condolences to the bereaved and wished the deceased eternal peace.
