The processing of trucks through virtual parks on the Eto platform has been ordered to cease immediately by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Mr. Irabor Akonoman, Head of Operations of the Truck Transit Park Ltd. (TTP) in Lagos, made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.

The suspension, in accordance with Akonoman, is a result of continuous efforts to optimize and streamline the operational procedures within the port ecosystem.

“As a result, all virtual parks operating on the eto platform are suspended immediately and will do so indefinitely.

“Without exception, every truck arriving at the ports must have left a physical truck park, pre-gate, or export processing station that has been approved by the NPA.

Please take note that all categories, including Reefer containers and Fish trucks, will continue to have unrestricted access to the port but will first pass through an authorised park.

“This order may call for alterations in stakeholders’ business practices. Your cooperation and understanding are requested.

He stated, “We collectively work towards improving and enhancing the efficiency of our port operations, and we deeply appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this period of evaluation and adjustment.
