Declan Rice, a new midfielder for Arsenal, has said that Mikel Arteta was instrumental in his decision to join the club.
On Saturday, the Gunners made public their agreement to acquire Rice from West Ham.
Arsenal broke their transfer record by signing the English midfielder for £105 million, surpassing the £72 million they spent for Nicolas Pepe from Lille in 2019.
It’s also the highest transfer fee ever paid by two English clubs.
Rice stated of Arteta, “He’s a huge component in the reason why I’ve come here.
I have no doubt that he will bring out the best in me. I know I can improve my performance, and I believe he is the right manager to help me do so. I’m thrilled to be collaborating with him.
