Customers in Ekiti’s commercial banks are now receiving brand-new naira notes.
The state’s citizens are delighted by the fact that banks’ automated teller machines are currently loaded with the new notes.
Nearly a month after the new notes were recognized as legal cash, there has been outrage over their poor distribution.
The CBN’s goal to phase out the old notes may be achieved with the new development.
The Central Bank of Nigeria took the initiative to redesign several naira notes in order to clear out excess cash, increase banknote security, reduce counterfeiting, manage circulation of currency, and handle abduction difficulties.
