Sean Dyche, a former Burnley manager, has been cited by former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara as the ideal candidate to succeed Frank Lampard as Everton’s manager.
Due to Everton’s subpar season-to-date results, Lampard is currently under strong pressure to keep his job.
The former Chelsea player observed as Brighton traveled to Goodison Park on Tuesday and defeated Everton 4-1 in a Premier League match.
The Brighton supporters jeered Lampard and the players off the field following Brighton’s victory over Everton.
If Everton loses their upcoming Premier League game against Southampton, they would fall into the relegation zone. Everton has won only one of their last ten Premier League games.
O’Hara thinks Dyche, who most recently led Burnley, would make a suitable choice to succeed Lampard, should Everton opt to fire the former England midfield guru.
“I don’t want to suggest that Frank Lampard should be fired because I like Frank and I want to see him resolve the issue. Sean Dyche would be an excellent choice, in my opinion, if they do decide to make a change, Jamie O’Hara told Sky Sports.
“In actuality, I believe he is the ideal match for them. Dyche is the ideal candidate if you consider the managers who are available and might take the position. Everton’s defense is currently disorganized when you watch them play.
Lampard has experienced this in the past when Chelsea let too many goals on defense. That would be resolved without a doubt when Dyche arrived. The only person who could replace Frank if they did so would be Dyche.
