The governor of Taraba State, Darius Dickson Ishaku, has once more urged parents, guardians, and religious figures to caution their charges against acting as thugs for overzealous politicians.

Ishaku stated that “no human blood is worth spilt for the aim of attaining political power” when he issued the warning on Tuesday in the state.

He urged lawmakers, particularly those running for office in the upcoming general elections, to follow the rules of the game and declared that his administration will work with security personnel to find any individual or group attempting to undermine the state’s current state of calm.

He gave the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) advice to ensure that the upcoming election was transparent and credible.

He urged eligible voters who have not yet gathered their Permanent Voters Cards, or PVCs, to do so, expressing his conviction that the dream of choosing trustworthy leaders is attainable.

Additionally, he urged spiritual leaders to take their time and pray for a smooth general election in the state and across the nation.
