On Saturday, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State committed to prevent hostilities in the state by fostering an atmosphere of peace, togetherness, and progress in each of the state’s 171 villages.
On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Nigeria and Ebonyi State @27, which took place in the old governor’s lodge in Abakaliki, Nwifuru made this announcement during a media discussion and account of stewardship by members of the Ebonyi State executive council.
He challenged detractors to dialogue with his administration and promised to fulfill the people’s charter in full.
He credited the people of the country for making the victory possible by voting for his party and “believing in our agenda, our mantra — The People’s Charter of Needs,” which was designed to build on the successful policies of the outgoing administration.
Since then, we’ve gotten to work. We have been in office for 152 days as the architects of policies tailored to your interests and the planners of their implementation. To begin, we recruited a team of reliable experts and bureaucrats from within our ranks to assist you in a variety of ways.
We’ve been doing a little bit of everything to meet the requirements of the Ebonyi right now while also laying the groundwork for the future. As a government, we are cognizant of the need of both meeting your present needs and ensuring the well-being of future generations.
It is our duty to provide prosperity to the people of Ebonyi and the fruits of democracy to the state as a whole. I urge everyone to let their guard down and have an honest conversation with us, because we are here to help. “Our mission is to leave the people of Ebonyi a legacy of peace and prosperity,” he said.
