Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has referred to Lionel Messi as the greatest player in history (G.O.A.T).
Messi is ranked higher than Diego Maradona, Di Stefano, and Pele by Guardiola, who had great success with him at Barcelona.
He claims that people who pick Maradona, Di Stefano, and Pele do so “sentimentally.”
Everyone has an opinion, but there is no denying that he is the best player in history, Guardiola stated during a press conference on Wednesday.
“In my opinion, he is the finest; it is hard to imagine how another athlete could match what he has accomplished. People who watched Pele, Di Stefano, or Maradona have sentimental ideas, but if he hadn’t won the World Cup, neither my viewpoint nor theirs would have changed.
