I committed a tiny error,” says a Man United player after being benched by Ten Hag

Tyrell Malacia, a left back for Manchester United, has revealed why manager Erik ten Hag benched him before the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Malacia experienced a significant decline in play earlier this season, and the manager benched him as Luke Shaw recovered the starting lineup.

The first player Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford signed this summer was the Dutch international.

After Luke Shaw failed in the embarrassing losses to Brighton and Brentford, Malacia stepped in to fill Shaw’s spot on the defensive line.

Malacia returned to the bench after the awful 6-3 loss against Manchester City.

He continued to play in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup despite being benched for five Premier League games.

Simply put, I struggled against City. I made a little error in the following game. The trainer will then need to decide,” Malacia stated.

“All I have to do is make sure I train effectively, which I did. Additionally, Ten Hag stated to me.
