In response to Eko Hotel employee Ngozi Mary’s return of $70,000 that had been lost by a customer, Labour Party, LP member Mr Peter Obi has spoken out.

Obi believes that Mary should be recognized on a national level.

In a message released via his verified Twitter account on Saturday, the former governor of Anambra State praised Mary for returning the money to its owner despite the difficulties and the widespread moral degradation in the country.

Obi said that the country should honor people like her rather than those who have badly affected it.

He stated, “Despite the suffering in the country and the existing moral degeneration in society, a staff member of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, was reported to have returned a misplaced sum of $70,000 to a customer of the hotel in Lagos. This is gratifying and reassuring.

When will Nigeria begin to honor people like Miss Ngozi Mary (2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Award winner) and Teacher Akeem Badru (2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Award winner)?

Instead than honoring individuals who have had a bad effect on our country, these are the people who should be recognized. These are the types of people who will be honored in the New Nigeria we envision. Rebuilding Nigeria is Doable.
