Osun NSCDC will send out men to secure key locations

In order to ensure appropriate security of lives and property before, during, and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Osun Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has promised to deploy in large numbers to important and vulnerable areas inside the state.

The command has given its Area Commanders and Divisional officers across the state directions in this regard.

Commander Agboola Sunday reportedly made this order during the December strategic monthly meeting with Area Commanders and Divisional Officers, according to a press release by Adeleke Kehinde, the Osun Command’s acting public relations officer.

Agboola stated in a statement obtained in Osogbo on Thursday that there is a need for all personnel to be alert in order to smoke out criminally inclined individuals who are hell-bent on disrupting the peace and tranquility enjoyed by the residents of Osun State. Agboola noted that the end of the year period typically witnesses a lot of criminal activities.

He gave the Area Commanders instructions to make sure that all recreation centers, places of worship, malls, parking lots, and other important national infrastructure are covered by their deployment.

“Patrol teams and surveillance squads will be fully deployed during the festive period, ensuring the safety of all citizens and their belongings.

To be able to handle the numerous crimes connected to the end of the year, the staff should improve their operational tactics and leadership skills.

Agboola praised the officers for their perseverance in combating crime and criminalities throughout the previous year, but he also urged them to confront all challenges to national security head-on, including crimes.

He also gave staff employees advice on how to earn the public’s trust in the Corps.

“Be mindful of the current difficulties the nation faces; as a result, you must strive extremely hard to support the system in attaining a safe and secure society.”

The Osun NSCDC boss pleaded with the people to help security services by sharing information that could result in the arrest of men of the underworld as he prayed for a peaceful Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
