The governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, wished President Muhammadu Buhari a happy 80th birthday and praised him as an inspirational figure whose influence will live on in Nigerians’ memory forever.
The Governor joined other well-meaning Nigerians in praising President Buhari, whom he described as an exceptional leader who has served the nation from his youth to his old age without a stain, according to a statement by his special adviser for media, Yinka Oyebode.
He believes President Buhari to be a deserving statesman, a tolerant leader, a selfless patriot, and a leader who is humble enough to accept criticism and always willing to consider all points of view.
The President, according to Governor Oyebanji, is a global icon of integrity in leadership, transparency in the management of his country’s resources, and a champion against corruption whose record in leaving a better Nigeria to future generations is unmatched in Nigerian history.
The Ekiti Governor noted that President Buhari’s election as the country’s leader was a turning point in Nigerian politics because it was the first time an opposition leader had deposed an incumbent leader. He added that Buhari’s election to a second term was evidence of Nigerians’ confidence in his ability and competence.
Governor Oyebanji remarked that President Buhari had put a lot of effort into running a complicated and diverse nation like Nigeria and had demonstrated through his words and deeds that he was still unwaveringly dedicated to its unity and indivisibility.
In addition, he praised the President’s deliberate leadership, vision, courage, and steadfastness in pursuing the just cause and the welfare of all Nigerians.
The governor continued, “President Buhari has etched his name in the annals of the nation for his legacies in infrastructure, social, and economic reforms, and for supervising a cleaner, more credible electoral process in which the electorate’s votes count.”
He added that President Buhari’s leadership had given Nigeria and its institutions the assurance they needed to face the country’s problems and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity.
The Governor prayed to God to extend the President’s life, grant him good health, and grant him success in all of his future endeavors, pointing out that the country would still require his advice by the time he had gracefully left office on May 29, 2023.
We wish our leader and father of the country a happy 80th birthday and pray that the Lord continues to strengthen him and increase his peace and joy, he said on behalf of his family, the government, and the good people of Ekiti State.
