Following the passing of Abdullahi Kanti, Abdullahi Bwacha, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor in Taraba State, is in mourning. Kanti served as his campaign coordinator in the Karim-Lamido local government council.

According to reports, Kanti was killed in a car accident on Tuesday while he was on his way to Jalingo, the state capital, along Lau road.

The candidate’s campaign council has also been devastated, as the majority of them characterized his passing as a serious blow for not only the gubernatorial candidate, the campaign council, but also the state chapter of the party as a whole.

The gubernatorial candidate, Aaron Artimas, reportedly described the death of Kanti as “a personal loss” in a statement provided to newsmen in Jalingo on Wednesday by the campaign council’s director of media and publicity.

Bwacha said his campaign committee “will miss a devoted politician and noteworthy man of peace” as he prayed for God to grant him eternal rest.

The Daily Post has learned that Kanti was the only person in the car when the accident occurred, despite the fact that the cause of the traffic accident was unknown at the time of reporting this story.
