Marc Overmars, a former player for Arsenal, was hospitalized on Thursday after experiencing a “mild stroke.”
A swift recovery was sought for the former Netherlands international by his current team, Royal Antwerp, in a statement.
Marc Overmars, the RAFC’s director of football affairs, became ill last night and was sent to the hospital with a small stroke, according to the statement. RAFC hopes Marc has a quick recovery!
During his tenure at Arsenal, Overmars, 49, won the English Premier League and FA Cup.
Overmars has served as the director of football for Ajax and Royal Antwerp since he retired in 2009.
