PSG and Barça are trying to iron out the kinks in a deal to trade the Brazilian star Neymar.
The forward is reportedly close to returning to the Catalans, as reported by football transfer journalist Khaled Waleed.
Football Transfers reports that Waleed, a journalist for beIN Sports, said (as cited by Sportskeeda) that Neymar would play for Barcelona if Paris footed the bill for the majority of his wage. The pay is still the biggest bone of issue between the two clubs, but everything else has been settled.
In 2017, PSG activated Neymar’s €222 million release clause and he moved from Barcelona to the Parisian club as part of a roster overhaul.
Neymar appeared in 186 games with Barcelona, scoring 105 goals and dishing out 76 assists before deciding to leave Camp Nou.
The Brazilian forward has appeared 173 times for the French club across all competitions, scoring 118 goals and assisting on another 77.
It has been speculated for some time that the player will leave the French capital.
