On Friday, Hosea Moses, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, expressed concern over the constant attacks in the southern portion of the state, particularly around Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
Although there have been a number of attacks over the years, he regretted that the most of the dangerous attacks occur in December around Christmas and New Year’s.
In Kagarko and Kachia Local Government Areas of Kaduna State, 37 people—mostly women from Azara, Jangala, and Kadara—were abducted on Saturday by terrorists, according to kuryaloaded.
Dr. Hosea responded on Friday morning, saying that even though Kaduna, the strategic hub of the north, is notorious for numerous attacks and kidnappings, there is a need to take action and strengthen security in the area.
On December 4, 2022, four people died in the Kufana District of the Kajuru LGA.
“No fewer than 4 have been slain in another separate attack on two Communities in Zango Kataf Local Government Area, 24 hours after terrorists killed three people in Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State,” he stated.
He urged security personnel to increase security in the state’s southern region and added that once there is life, there is hope.
