Yobe State Police Commissioner Ahmed Garba has stated that all citizens must take part in maintaining public safety.
This was something the CP reaffirmed yesterday when he hosted the executive members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) at his office.
The visit was very encouraging, according to the Commissioner, who also noted that the committee’s primary duty is the battle against crimes and criminality in contemporary policing policy, which has stood the test of time.
CP Garba assured the committee of his assistance and encouraged them to work toward their primary goal of reducing security risks so that people in the state can live together more peacefully.
Everyone has a role to play in maintaining public safety, and it is everyone’s obligation. He also explained that the police in Yobe state operate under a “open door policy” when it comes to maintaining law and order.
After extensive debate, Committee Chairman Mr. Bala Mohammed stated the committee’s willingness to maintain its partnership with law enforcement.
Mohammed reaffirmed the group’s dedication to working with divisional police officers in all 17 LGAs to improve intelligence-led policing at the neighborhood level and raise public awareness about safety concerns.
At the meeting, a revamped PCRC action plan was unveiled.
