In a statement released while speaking to journalists on Sunday, the leaders of the APC in Zamfara state claimed that stories circulating about Senator Sahabi Ya’u Kaura’s purported recall were spread by disgruntled individuals who wanted to bring the party down.

“The move is a huge joke taken too far. It is an ill-conceived plan to undermine our shared interests, unity, and political understanding in APC Zamfara state,” the group stated.
The group claims that some unemployed and non-party members were involved in a shady plot to destabilize the Zamfara Senatorial zone through a sponsored columnist campaign against Senator Kaura.
The leaders alleged that Alhaji Sani Jaji, a lawmaker from the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji district in Zamfara state, had betrayed their trust by aligning himself with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
When he realizes that Senator Sahabi Ya’u, who was a level-headed, honest, and focused politician, cannot stoop to such a level of public bickering, he allegedly arranged the recalled misinformation to sow discord and politically unstable conditions in the state.
“The allegations made against Senator Yau are completely baseless and serve only to discredit him and the important work he is doing as a legislator representing the people of the Zamfara North Senatorial District.
The people of the Zamfara north senatorial zone are concerned about issues of development, peace, and political unity, and Sen. Sahabi Yau has shown the best of character, discipline, and good leadership styles as their elected political leader, according to their explanations.
