Currently, Arsenal is five points clear of Man City in second place in the Premier League standings.
Silva thinks teams like Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham, Man City, and Manchester United can contend with the Gunners for the Premier League championship ahead of Saturday night’s Premier League match between Man City and Everton.
According to Bernardo, who was evaluating the teams that could still catch Arsenal, “anything can happen in this league.”
Since the takeover, Newcastle has made excellent investments. They have done an amazing job and are creating a really good project. Although I don’t find Arsenal surprising, others might.
“A really youthful, hungry, and most importantly, very, very good team. We need to pursue them because we are in their wake. They can win the league, but they can also lose games because it is a challenging one. This league is still very much active, and our situation is not ideal. But since we’re a better squad than others, we’ll keep battling.
Arsenal can make mistakes, he said, because even if they lose two points, they will still be competing with us and other teams.
“However, if we continue to lose points, Newcastle, [Manchester] United, and Tottenham might surpass us. Arsenal will continue to run, and catching up to them won’t be simple. No need to fear, but there is drive and intense attention to keep them from straying further from us.
“Some teams are already quite, quite far behind Arsenal, I don’t know exactly how many points Liverpool are behind Arsenal, but I think it’s around 15. Although closing that gap is difficult, it is doable. United and Tottenham are then in closer proximity. Since Chelsea is far away, it won’t be simple for them either.
