Posted by On Friday, outgoing Senate President Godswill Akpabio visited outgoing Senator Ahmed Lawan at his Abuja home to wish him a happy Sallah.
The purpose of the trip was twofold: to spend Eid al-Adha with Nigeria’s previous number three citizen and to have fruitful discussions about the Senate’s continued efforts to bring democratic dividends to Nigeria’s citizens.
To set the tone for the private conversations aimed at reviving Nigeria’s democracy, the visit began with a prayer session.
Lawan was reassured by Senator Akpabio that his administration will welcome people of all backgrounds, ideologies, and political persuasions.
