We Gunners have long liked Ajax forward Jurrien Timber, and on Friday, Arsenal hinted at signing him.
Timber, formerly of Ajax, signed a long-term contract with Arsenal on Friday.
Timber, now 22 years old, competed for the Netherlands in UEFA Euro 2020.
Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu commented, “We are very happy to bring Jurrien to Arsenal,” when asked about the club’s choice to sign Timber.
Everyone on our squad deserves credit for making this happen, because he is a player we have admired for a long time.
In other words, “Jurrien is a young talented international player, who fits our vision of competing with a young strong squad.”
