Chelsea has been cautioned not to bring back former manager Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

According to reports circulating in Europe, Chelsea’s new owners, led by Todd Boehly, are considering recruiting the AS Roma manager, who is eager to return to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho has won three Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, and three League Cups during his two stints at Chelsea.

The Portuguese was fired twice by the club’s former owner, Roman Abramovich.

Mourinho went on to manage Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United after leaving Chelsea.

According to recent European rumors, representatives of the former Real Madrid manager have contacted Chelsea about a possible return to West London.

English sports journalist Oliver Holt believes that bringing the Portuguese back to Stamford Bridge would be a mistake.

“Boehly might accept it, but that would be a mistake. Mourinho’s time in the elite has come to an end.

“It would be too dangerous. His methods now appear sour and outmoded.”
