Liverpool, Enrique says, “made a huge mistake” by allowing their star player to leave.
Liverpool’s decision to let Roberto Firmino depart this summer has been criticized by former left back Jose Enrique.
After leaving Anfield as a free agent last month, Firmino has joined Al-Ahli of the Saudi Pro League.
He was a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s Reds team that won every major prize possible.
“If he’s still fit, he’s better than Gakpo and Darwin, so it’s a huge mistake on Liverpool’s part to let him go.” But best wishes to a true Reds legend! The Instagram post from Enrique.
The Brazil international played in 362 games for Liverpool, scoring 111 goals and assisting on 79 more; yet, his genuine value to the squad goes much beyond his statistical output.
