Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been called a “placeholder” by Patrick Tonye-Cole, the All Progressives Congress candidate for governor in Rivers State in 2023.
Tonye-Cole, speaking as a guest on the Tuesday episode of Channels Television’s Political Paradigm, suggested that the governor follows no agenda of his own.
He mentioned the newly appointed state commissioners, adding that many of them were holdovers from the previous government.
For lack of a better term, our incumbent governor appears to be the major problem in Rivers politics right now.
Because every choice that has been made has been made in light of the existing conditions.
That’s why we’re keeping the same appointment time. The way things are headed in terms of how business is conducted and how the government will act.
A majority of the original commissioners were retained in their new roles.
They plan on spending almost N200bn on building, according to a recent announcement. Also, describe the buildings. Everything about bridges and roads is the same.
According to Tonye-Cole, a political leader’s true colors are shown within the first 100 days in office.
He predicted that taking Fubara’s course will have little effect on Rivers State.
