The Flying Eagles of Nigeria were dealt a challenging draw for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The team of Ladan Bosso will compete in Group A of the biannual championship against the host nation, Egypt, Senegal, and Mozambique.
At the Cairo International Stadium will be where the group’s games will be held.
The four teams in Group B are the Young Cranes of Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan, and Congo, who were all finalists in the last championship.
Ismaila will be the base for the teams in Group B.
Gambia, Tunisia, the Benin Republic, and Zambia make up Group C.
The group’s games will be held in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria.
The top two teams from each of the three groups, together with the two third-place losers, will proceed to the quarterfinals.
At the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia in 2023, the four semifinalists will represent Africa.
The contest will take place between February 18 and March 12.
