Didier Drogba, a superstar of the Ivory Coast, attributed Morocco’s 2-0 loss to France in the 2022 World Cup semifinal to their lack of inventiveness.
In the third-place playoff, Drogba has now urged the Atlas Lions to take a chance against Croatia.
As the first African team to ever compete in the tournament’s final four, Morocco had made tournament history.
However, Drogba has challenged the North African team to improve their finishing when they face the Checkered Ones.
“I saw a fantastic Moroccan team that gave their all to win.
They were punished by a France squad that scored goals when it mattered most because they weren’t really paying attention to the final pass to score a goal. Drogba told BBC Radio 1 that Morocco still has a chance to win the final match and place third.
