In advance of the next 2023 presidential election, renowned Nigerian activist and performer Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, often known as Charly Boy or Area Fada, has pointed to starvation and poor stomach health as the causes of some youngsters’ support for established politicians.
The people of Nigeria must search for a new leader with human sympathy, integrity, and experience who has come to rule and not only to win an election, according to Charly Boy, who described the 2023 election as an opportunity to fulfill the “Dream Nigeria.”
The comedian revealed in an interview with kuryaloaded that his passion to assisting in protecting the future of young people in the nation led him to back Labour Party, LP presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi.
He added that he will be endorsing a candidate for the first time.
“Since beginning my career as an activist, I have never backed any candidate. Given that the bulk of young people are found there, this is the first time I am endorsing a candidate. I would be open to doing whatever to help them recapture their future.
“Exceptional people, including the young, hold the key to this nation’s salvation, and I think I’m starting to sense a reawakening. Being a father, I can’t just sit around and wait for the young Nigerians’ dream to come true. I’m glad that they are reawakening and taking control of their destiny.
We’re not searching for an angel, but rather a leader who can serve.
In addition to pleading for Nigerians, particularly the youth, to seize the chance to choose the proper leaders in the upcoming election, he issued a dire warning: “People might end up wishing President Muhammadu Buhari was still in office.”
