Remember that on Wednesday, the well-known Nigerian actor wrote a heartfelt letter of apology to May on his Instagram page, pleading for forgiveness for his early-year second marriage to Judy Augustine.
Yul expressed regret in the letter for hurting her with his behaviour.
He added that he will always love her and that he did not intend for his second marriage to belittle or serve as a replacement for her.
She clarified, however, that she would not be coerced into accepting polygamy because it goes against her faith, views, and principles in a response to her husband on Friday via her Instagram page.
I’ll stand my ground and refuse to be persuaded to accept polygamy since it contradicts my principles, my faith, and my morals. After an extended premarital relationship, my husband and I started creating our home with love, faith, tears, hopes, and prayers. Our marriage has been Catholic for 18 years.
She also pleaded with her husband to refrain from posting about the situation on social media, which she referred to as “show”.
Following his decision to practice polygamy, Yul has been the target of criticism and abuse from several Nigerians.
