Antonio Conceicao, formerly of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions, has applied to coach Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The Portuguese national team coach is reportedly interested in taking over the reigning three-time African champions, via SCORENigeria.
The years 2019–2022, Cameroon was supervised by Conceicao.
The Indomitable Lions finished third at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations under the guidance of the 62-year-old coach.
Portugal, Romania, and Saudi Arabia are among the countries where the seasoned tactician has served as a coach.
The Super Eagles head coaching position was recently advertised as open and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) asked interested candidates to submit their resumes.
The team was last led by Jose Peseiro, another Portugueseman.
