Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, and President Muhammadu Buhari have urged party members in Adamawa State to elect Nigeria’s first female governor on March 11.
Both Buhari and Tinubu, who were in Yola on Monday for the APC’s combined presidential and state governorship campaign flag-off, stated that the electorate had the opportunity to elect Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani, the party’s governorship candidate, into office. She is the only female governorship candidate of a major political party.
“Since we implemented the system, there has never been a female governor. God willing, we will offer one, and she will win,” Buhari remarked of Binani.
In keeping with this theme, Tinubu described Binani as the upcoming governor of Adamawa State and the nation’s first female governor, who will secure adequate employment and advance everyone’s wellbeing.
He told the crowd of APC supporters gathered at the campaign venue, “Today, you are about to send the first woman governor to the State House. Go ahead and do that when the governorship election takes place on March 11.”
Speaking of his own ambition, Tinubu declared that if he were to be elected president, his administration would eradicate hunger and bring back farming.
With the words, “Whatever they say in Poverty Development Party, you know their name, Poverty Development Party, we will replace it with pleasure, prosperity, happiness, and employment,” Tinubu vowed that his administration would make every effort to rid Nigerians of poverty.
Tinubu emphasized that his administration would put the needs of the people first and continued, “All of you, expect that we would engage you appropriately. We will attend to your needs and help you get employment.
