Shehu Sani, a former legislator, has spoken out about the reported massive payouts to the fired Service Chiefs.

The social critic stated the Service Chiefs were compensated handsomely for leaving the nation in the hands of terrorists and bandits.

Friday via his verified Twitter account, Sani said, “The other service chiefs left us with terrorists and were rewarded with ambassadorial appointments; these ones left us with bandits and were rewarded with SUVs.”

His reply came after it was reported that the Chief of Defense Staff and the other Service Chiefs were given bulletproof SUVs, personal assistants, guards, and other privileges of office upon retirement. These benefits included a sizable budget for medical care in foreign countries.

A few weeks after taking office, President Bola Tinubu fired the heads of the armed forces, the police chief, advisers, and the head of customs.

In addition, Tinubu appointed additional people to take their place.
