Romano claims that players like Nicolas Pepe, Granit Xhaka, and Thomas Partey are on the verge of being released.

They’ve done fantastic work with Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, and Kai Havertz, and now they need to figure out how to keep certain players who aren’t essential to the project—most notably Nicolas Pepe—on the roster.

Granit Xhaka’s transfer to Bayer Leverkusen is also pending approval; the two clubs have had a deal in place since May.

Also, “let’s see what happens with Thomas Partey; in case he leaves, another new midfielder could join,” Romano remarked.
