Okechukwu Azubuike, a former captain of the U-23 Eagles, has signed with Turkish Super Lig club Caykur Rizespor.
Azubuike joined Rizespor from Istanbul Başakşehir, another Turkish team.
The club did not specify the contract’s duration, though.
The 25-year-old played 14 times and scored one goal while on loan with the Black Sea in 2019.
According to a statement on the club’s website, “Aykur Rizespor has struck an agreement in principle with Medipol Başakşehir for the transfer of Okechukwu Godson AZUBUIKE to our team.”
The midfielder spent the previous two seasons on loan with Sivasspor and Yeni Malatyaspor of Turkey.
